Letter from an American husband

Dear Tanjay Association:

After 18 years of absence from Tanjay, Negros Oriental, Philippines the family of Teresa Buquiran-Wulff returned with her to her homeland - that included me, Bruce, her American husband, and our sons Matt, 8 and Daniel, 4. Our stay in that beautiful town of Tanjay was very enjoyable and unforgettable with my greatest satisfaction having our two boys spend quality time and getting to know their wonderful first cousins (see picture) and meeting their uncles and aunts (sister-in-law Flore and daughter Brigette flew in from New Jersey). It was a re-union that made my very good looking parents-in-law (Mr and Mrs Santiago Buquiran) very happy. I have committed to going back in 5 years, so start preparing to do so. Lastly, it was in Tanjay that I experienced seeing for the first time a cockfight and horsefight.

There will be no clues for this picture, since most of the past mystery pictures were answered too easily. All we can say is that if you love life dearly, you can identify him. The last issues’ mystery picture was Jean Gonzales-Piñero, answered correctly by Nena Alcantara-Amigo, (see letter on page 6), with pakapin descriptions that are very makalignaw. Other first placers were Tessie Cornelio and Jojo Lopez.
