Introducing....

As suggested by Dr. Basilia Ramirez,
taga-Ilaud, now living in Manville, Rhode Island, we are introducing
the officers of our Tanjay Association, USA:

Badingding Señeris-Gil
(President) - anak ning Anhing Tio Ramon ug Tia Feling Señeris,
kadtong tag-iya sa Farmacia San Rafael sa main karsada; is married
to Danny Gil (both are active in U.P. Alumni activities); has three
children, and is a proud Lola of one; is a pharmacist at Thrifty
Drugs in Cypress, California.

Anesio Piñero (Vice-President)
- taga-Dumaguete, pero "qualified" kay na-minyo ug Tanjayanon (Jean
Gonzales, related to Tia Bigay, taga-Plaza); has two children; was
a long-time chemist at Johnson Wax, is currently working as a chemist
at a swimming-pool chemical company near Ontario, California. He
is best remembered as an aktor-aktor sa mga drama-drama sa St. Paul's
College in Dumaguete.

Alice Calumpang (Treasurer)
- anak ning Tatong, tag-iya sa cinehan; is "happily and proudly"
married to Braddock Calumpang; has two children; is a CPA (both
in the Philippines and in the U.S.), and works with the State of
Florida Department of Revenue - Burbank, California office. Alice
is our favorite "tikil-yera" during special events.

Perla Limbaga Manapol (Secretary
/PRO) - anak ning Anhing Simo ug Charing Manapol; is "not happily
and proudly married to anyone," but is a very proud Lola of one-and-a-half;
has three children; served for 15 years in the U.S. Foreign Service,
and is now working for a telecommunications company in Simi Valley,
California. Falang is our "dance leader" and "konduktor" (Tia Enyong
and Tia Tutang style) during special events. (Ma-ilhan jud nga siya
ang Editor of this Newsletter, kay ang paragraph kabahin niya ta-as
kaayo!)?

Basilia Ramirez reports that her
husband, Dr. Alikpala, suffered a heart attack, but that he is fine
now.
Some of those who responded to
our membership drive include: Luding Alvarez, Aida Samson, and Edgar
and Grace Borromeo-Banogon.

Jaime Zerna (anak ning Tia Rita
ug anhing Tio Luching) is in West Orange, New Jersey with his family.
He reports that the U.S. Embassy in Manila now charges 500 pesos
per interview, whether a visa is granted or not.

Boy Manapol easily won re-election
as a Councilman for the City of Geneseo, New York (near Rochester),
where he owns a plumbing and heating business. (Mas daghan pa ang
iyang votes kay sa Mayor! Pagka-human kono sa ballot- counting,
he said, "I demand a re-count!") He and wife Kathy Trainor have
two children.

Ag iyang igso-on, si Pablito "Blits"
or "Pabs," will become a first-time Lolo next April pohon. He and
wife Viring and their three children (puro mga babaye!) work and
live in Arlington, Virginia. Pabs also runs his own lawn- mowing
service (kana ug wala'y snow....).

Dr. Dodo Señeris, a cardiologist
in Wayne, New Jersey, recently came to visit the Gils. Dodo has
fully recovered from a recent illness that required hospitalization.
.
Tio Payok and Tia Tutang Limbaga
are the proud grandparents of a boy apo, courtesy of son Lucy-Boy
and wife.

Nilda Rabaya-Djadjadi ga-sige ug
wardas-wardas between Jakarta, Indonesia and Southern California,
where her children are attending college. Her husband is a VIP with
INDOSAT, Indonesia's satellite communications department (and a
big performer in the U.S. stock markets).
