BALITA . . . . . EVENTS . . . . . ACTIVITIES . . . . . TSIS-MIS . . . .
Evalina Señeris Mantes was in Southern California to visit her son, Ramon, who recently got married to Carla Lopez (anak ning Tyron ug Katet Lopez). She made the rounds with relatives, classmates (Tita Cusio Gorospe and Falang Manapol), and friends. At a dinner at Danny and Badingding's place, she held a talkathon-chismisthon from 6:30 sa hapon hangtud sa 3:00 sa kadlawon the next day! Braddock and Alice Calumpang also gave a despedida dinner on September. Evalina has returned to Chicago to be with her husband Charlie and daughter Malu and apo.
We were all saddened by the news of the death of Gerry Gil, Danny's brother. It was at his death that Gerry's genius and illustrious career as on of the most respected journalists in the Philippines finally came to be known. Such is the mark of a humble man!

Filipinas Magazine will feature Falang Manapol in a future issue. You are all required to buy at least 10 copies of the issue!! The article will focus on her book, Goal: Green Card, which describes step-by-step the processing of an immigrant visa petition from the INS to the National Visa Center, to the Consulate. It is available in English and in Spanish at $10 a copy, by mail order. (1396 Sheffield Pl., Thousand Oaks, CA 91360)

But remember, too, that this is not an amnesty. This applies only to those aliens who are: (a) beneficiaries of immigrant visa petitions that have been (b) approved, and that are (c) current.
