Chapter I - Ang Misterio sa Bungbung nga Dili Ma-irog

Saturday, July 22: Most of us arrived at the sabungan (Wyndham Garden Hotel) early - only to be told by the Hotel staff that maybe we should postpone the affair because of some technical problem.  Sus, na-hurot jud ag vocabulary of all our favorite pamalikas!  After we threatened the hotel staff with legal action (we have, after all, two abogados!), we came to a Solomonic decision: the dinner was held at the hotel, and the dance at another...

Chapter II - Ang Bus Driver nga Wala Makatul-tol

After the dinner (we were given complimentary drinks by the Hotel staff), we all piled into buses that were to take us to another hotel for the dance.  Ag usa ka bus hapit wala maka-abut, kay ag driver - nga dili ma-antigong mo-Iningles - wala maka-tul-tol sa lugar.  Ipa-kana-og unta ang mga pasaheros sa laing lugar.  But all ended well.

Chapter III - Ma-o Ni'y Bayleng Tanjayanon!

We had a big dance floor, the Tanjay dance band, Midnite Motion (led by Clarissa "Baby" Girasol-Schor), played all the goodies, and we danced until 2:00 sa kadlawon.  Hasta ang mga waiters nalingaw!  Guest speaker diay for the evening was Atty. Richard Mirasol Chiu, bar topnotcher and legal eagle extraordinaire.  He also inducted the incoming officers.

Chapter IV - Da Picnic

On Saturday, July 23, we held the picnic at a beautiful lake resort.  Kulba jud, kay puro sud-an ang dala - wala'y kan-on! Pero the cooked rice came - wala'y dukot, pero lami gihapon. There were two mahjongg tables, there were games, there were lots of dirty jokes (ga-lumba si Gigi, si Falang, ug si Anecio), and lots of good food.  Marlene and her family donated two lechons.  At about 9:30 p.m., we finally said our good-byes...until next year na pud.
